Once-tiny puppy discovered in thriving chicken coop will grow into a playful, confident canine

A tiny dog, smaller than a cat, was found living among chickens in a chicken coop. He wasn't doing well. Underweight, plagued with scabies, and suffering from leishmaniasis (which is common in Greece), Feathers was nearly blinded by his negligence.Small Pup Found Living Inside Chicken Coop, Turns Out to Be Funny, Confident Dog

Fortunately, Save a Greek Stray was notified and came to his aid.

The orphaned pet wrote:

“No one knows how he ended up living in a chicken coop, but they found him there. Him living among chickens, covered in feathers (that's why they called him Feather), full of fleas and ticks, with what was left of his hair forming dirty dreadlocks.

“Pluma suffered from leishmaniasis and, since he had not received treatment in time, the disease almost blinded him. However, he made a full recovery and even regained his sight.”

They added that the 2.5 kilo dog began to feel better and his “incredible character” was revealed: “Feather was a confident and fun dog.”

He has been happily adopted by a family in Greece and we hardly recognize him now that his fur has grown back!
